THE DOWNS GAA NOTES Jan 15th 2024

Ireland Lights Up/Couch to 5K

Ireland Lights Up began in The Downs last Thursday night. It was great to see so many community members turning up to kick off the Christmas cobwebs. Ireland Lights up continues every Thursday at 7.30 p.m. In conjunction with Ireland Lights Up and our Healthy Clubs Initiative we are also doing a Couch to 5k in the lead up to the Valentines 5k Dash on February 11th. This initiative will be led by local experienced runner Críona Reid every Monday night at 7.30 p.m. All abilities welcome. Just turn up with proper runners and plenty of water. No better way to start off 2024.

Mass for Deceased Members

Petitions were presented and prayed for by Fr. Tom Gilroy at our Mass for deceased members last Wednesday night in the clubhouse. All donations received will go towards the upkeep of Coralstown church and graveyard. Thanks to all that both helped and attended on the night.
