The Downs GAA AGM
The Downs GAA will hold their AGM on November 25th in the clubhouse at 7 p.m. Nominations and motions to reach the club secretary no later than November 17th.
Winter Programme for Nursery Kids
Our Winter Nursery programme kicked off last Saturday lead by our GPO Jack Casey as well as some of our nursery coaches. We had a great turnout and we look forward to the same in 2 weeks’ time on November 18th. The Downs GAA & LGFA clubs will be running the Winter Nursery for kids in The Downs hall every second Saturday from 11am to 12 noon up to Christmas. Venue may change in New Year. All are welcome, members and non-members. Dates after Christmas to be confirmed

Minor Ladies
Our minor ladies travelled to Athlone last Sunday morning to play the first round of the minor championship. After a slow start, the girls gave a much better account of themselves in the second half with Athlone running out winners in the end. Next up is St. Paul’s Delvin next weekend.
Strength & Conditioning
Strength & conditioning classes resume in the clubhouse with Mickey-Dan Murtagh on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.30-8-30 p.m. Beginning on October 3rd at a cost of €10 per session – all welcome.
