The Downs GAA will hold their AGM on November 21st in the clubhouse at 7.30 p.m. Nominations and motions to reach the club secretary no later than November 14th.

Our U14 Black squad contested the shield final last Monday morning in Breedon Group Kevin Molloy Park The Downs. As the old adage goes “Goals win games” and this was certainly the case in this particular case with Shamrocks scoring 6 goals as well as 3 points. The Downs battled hard scoring 1-13 themselves and gave a very good account of themselves despite the loss. This brings the curtain down on the underage competitive season for 2024. We would like to thank the players and management for their commitment to the team over the year and wish them a well-earned break for the Winter.

Many congratulations to the Trunk or Treat committee on their fantastic event last Sunday afternoon in the clubhouse. As expected the event overcame everyone’s expectations once again with fun and scares for all the family. Well done to all involved.
