Round 3 Results
The Division 1 side continued their good streak of form with another hard-fought win over Athlone GAA away last Friday night. Although they trailed by the minimum at half-time on a score-line of 0-6 to 0-5, a Joe Moran goal mid-way through the half was ultimately the difference between the sides at the final whistle. The final score was The Downs 1-10 Athlone 0-10. This makes it 3 wins from 3 in the league for the Division 1 side.
Scór Sinsir
The Scór Sinsir County Final took place in the Downs last Sunday where Na Dúnta took part in Rince Foirne, Amhránaíocht Aoinair, Aithriseoireacht, Tráth na gCeist and Rince Seit. Congratulations to our Rince Foirne Dancers Amy Dagg, Emma Dagg, Robyn Dagg, Mary Lynam, Erica Hynes, Cliona Murray, Neasa Mangan Lynch and Molly Maher and Rince Seit dancers Anna Fallon, Orlaith Murray Aoife Carley, Ursula Carley, Cian Colgan, Shane Murray, Darren Nolan and Pat Leavy who emerged victorious on the day. They now await the Leinster Semi Final later in March. The clubs' achievements in Scór na nÓg were also recognised by all in attendance with All Ireland Champion Alanna Corroon receiving a rousing standing ovation.
Underage Football Returns
Underage football returned for all including the Downs Dragons last Friday. It was wonderful to see all our underage budding stars back in action. We will see everyone again next Friday. It’s great to be back!

Congratulations
Many congratulations to St. Joseph’s Secondary School on winning the Br. Hubert Blue division Leinster 1st year competition. We are especially proud of our own club man Odhran Mitchell who represented The Downs GAA on the team.

Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others
Na Dúnta Gaelic 4 mothers & other's starts back March 19th from 8-9pm and every Wednesday (back middle pitch). No experience required, all fitness levels welcomed. Pre Loved Gear Shop
The Downs LGFA will be running a Pre Loved Gear Shop over the coming weeks. If you have any football boots, jerseys, half zips, shorts etc that don't fit but have plenty of life in them why not donate to our Gear Shop.
