U15 Féile
The U15 boys gave a superb account of themselves in this year’s Div 1 Féile series hosted in our home ground Breedon Kevin Molloy Park. Drenched in sunshine the lads faced Killucan in the semi-final of the competition. Killucan proved to be tough opponents with the black and ambers only pulling away with the win towards the end of the game. Having reached the final against St. Lomans, the lads immersed themselves into the game and when the final whistle blew at the end of normal time, the two teams could not be separated. Two periods of extra time ensued with some end to end football on show. The Downs had their chances to win the game but it was St. Lomans who emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins when the game was over. Well done to every team that participated; Lilliput Gaels, Mullingar Shamrocks, St. Lomans, Killucan and The Downs. A great festival of football was on show in the beautiful sunshine for all the spectators. Congratulations to St. Lomans on their win.
