Breedon Group U15 Blitz
Na Dúnta U15 boys and girls were very kindly invited to St. Vincents Marino last Saturday for the Breedon Group U15 blitz and what a fantastic event it turned out to be. From football to burgers and ice-cream, no stone was left unturned by the Breedon Group. The girls managed to win the shield beating Glanworth in the final with the boys losing out in the cup final to a strong St. Vincents side. Every one of our players put in a huge effort both in defence and attack - a brilliant display from all - well done!! Many thanks to the Breedon Group for very kindly inviting us and indeed for their hospitality and provision of transport. A great day out for our youngsters.
Division 6 League Final
Congratulations to our division 6 team who have qualified for the league final in the coming weeks. A strong win against St. Josephs last Sunday morning catapulted them into the final following a strong campaign. Final score The Downs 3-19 St. Joseph’s 1-10.
Under 8’s and U10’s
Our U8’s and U10s were in action this week in The Downs, Opposition was provided by CFCW Rochfortbridge and Multy. Well done to all players on putting in a great performance of football.
LGFA Underage results
Well done to our u12 girls who played against Coralstown Kinnegad and CFCW in Breedon Molloy Park this week. A great display by all.
Both U14 squads played against Athlone. Division 1 at home and Division 4 away. Our Division 1 team came away with a win while the Division 4 team were unlucky not to come away with the win. It is brilliant to be able to field two teams at this level.
