ACFL Results Round 2:

The Downs senior men’s Division 1 team opened their league campaign at home to St. Loman’s last Friday night under lights. The black and ambers lead by three points at half-time and more importantly by 1 at the final whistle. Three penalties were awarded during the game, two to St. Lomans and one to The Downs. Both goal-keepers made excellent saves with only one of the penalties converted by St. Loman’s Shane Dempsey. A good start to the league for Dermot Power and his team.

The Division 3 game versus Multy was postponed due to pitches unplayable
