Underage Results
On Thursday we fielded 2 teams of U’11s against our near neighbours Kinnegad. A great evening of football was had by all with lots of fantastic skills on show.
The U15’s travelled to Shandonagh last Friday evening. Despite the lads best efforts, they came up short against a well drilled opposition who ran out deserving winners in the end.
Our U7’s and U9 boys were up early on Saturday morning when they travelled to Ballycomoyle for the most recent series of Go-Games. Some superb performances yet again from both sides made for a very enjoyable morning. Thank you to our hosts Ballycomoyle GAA.
The U13 Division 4 team travelled to Delvin early on Sunday morning last. All square at half-time, it was Delvin who kicked on with a couple of late goals to take all the points on offer. Final score Delvin 4-06 The Downs 1-07.
LGFA Results
The U16 girls had an impressive win on Wednesday evening last against St. Paul’s Delvin at home. A great performance from all the panel.
Our U14’s earned themselves a very hard fought win against Milltown last Thursday evening away from home on a final score of 3-05 to 3-04. The girls showed great resilience to hold on for the win. Well done to all.
The highlight of the weekend was our Senior Ladies Division 1 win against Garrycastle, their first league win of the season. A hard fought battle that took an excellent save by Sarah McGuire late in the game to claim all the points on offer. Well done to all.
