Men’s Senior Football Championship
The adult men’s football championship resumes this week. The Downs will begin the defence of the Flanagan Cup on Saturday evening with the Junior team also in action. See fixtures below. Best of luck to all involved:
Friday June 23rd: Junior 1 The Downs V Athlone (Away) 7.30 p.m.
Saturday June 24th: Senior The Downs V St. Lomans (TEG Cusack Park) 7.30pm
On Sunday June 25th The Downs GAA will host two JFC matches.
Kilbeggan V St. Paul’s @ 2p.m.
Moate V Bunbrosna @ 4 p.m.
U16 Girls League Final
The U16 girls will contest the Division 4 League final this Thursday June 22nd against Clann Gaels in Bunbrosna GAA club at 7.00 p.m. Best of luck to all involved. All support appreciated.
LGFA Go-Games
Our U8’s and U10’s travelled to Ballycomoyle on Saturday morning for the most recent Go-Games. Na Dúnta had 2 teams at each age group playing Ballycomoyle, Bunbrosna, Multyfarnham, St. Paul’s Delvin and Mullingar Shamrocks. The girls put on a great display of football and did the club proud. Thanks to all who made the trip and to Ballycomoyle for being wonderful hosts as ususal.
Clothes Collection
Reminder that we have an ongoing clothes collection here at The Downs LGFA club. All proceeds go to The Downs ladies LGFA club.

The next club shop opening will be during training from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on this Friday June 30th

Bingo continues every Friday night at 8.30 p.m. All new members welcome.
Clubhouse Bar
The Clubhouse bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays nights.
Club Lotto
We are asking all members to please support our club lotto. Sellers will be around the next few Friday evenings during underage training. The lotto is one of our main sources of income and we would be grateful if all our members could support it.
We will continue to live stream our Lotto draw via our Facebook page for the foreseeable future. Tune in at 9-30 on each Monday night to catch the draw.
